GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Due to severe weather forecasted for the rest of the week in the Treasure Coast Area, the Florida High School Athletic Association announced the postponement of the 2018 Florida High School Softball State Championships. The event will now begin on Saturday, May 19, and run through Tuesday, May 22.

Why was this change made?
The change was made due to a threat of inclement weather at Historic Dodgertown throughout the rest of the week. In the interest of player safety, avoiding unnecessary travel and providing the best playing surface possible, the FHSAA pushed the event back.
What do I do if I have already booked a hotel?
The Treasure Coast Sports Commission has already reached out to area hotels and have asked them to work with teams and parents on rescheduling. Please contact the hotel you have made plans with to reschedule. For a list of TCSC hotels, click here. If you are attending Monday and Tuesday, please know Historic Dodgertown has rooms to stay in that were previously unavailable May 17 and 18. Please contact your hotel, they are aware that the tournament dates have changed and are being asked to work with teams and parents to reschedule.
