Following four months of traveling the state and listening to its membership, the FHSAA staff presented the FHSAA Board of Directors with a classification proposal at its meetings Sept. 23-24. The Board met several times over the two days discussing the proposal. The FHSAA Athletic Directors Advisory Committee will have a special classification meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 10, at 9 a.m. at FHSAA headquarters in Gainesville. Following the ADAC meeting Oct. 10, the Board of Directors is tentatively scheduled to vote on the classification structure Oct. 29 at its meeting in Gainesville. Should it pass, the new classification structure would go into effect beginning in 2019-20.
